Kristin Mainella, RD, CDE
Onk (Ankh) Nutrition & Wellness Solutions LLC. was established in 2017 by Kristin Mainella, RD, CDE. Kristin has a Master’s Degree in Education from East Stroudsburg University and a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology with a Minor in Health from Plymouth State University. She also has a certificate in nutrition from the University of Northern Colorado. Kristin is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator, with more than 25 years of experience in nutrition, exercise and wellness program delivery. She is an expert in diabetes education, weight loss, sports nutrition, stress management, heart disease, corporate wellness, metabolic syndrome, and thyroid dysfunction, hypertension, disease prevention, and general nutrition.

Kristin believes in a comprehensive whole body (body, mind, spirit) lifestyle approach towards nutrition while developing an individualized plan for each client. She incorporates various modalities to help develop the best overall plan that works to meet the client's specific health goals and needs. Whether you are looking to lose weight, improve your sports performance, reduce your risk of chronic disease or simply learn how to eat better, you can have fun doing it with the right direction. Her experience has shown her that by combining nutrition, exercise, and stress management you address the whole individual. Kristin combines an extensive knowledge of nutrition along with creativity and enthusiasm. She is easy to connect with and an excellent motivator. She encourages her clients to develop healthy behaviors toward food with a non-diet approach toward reaching their optimal health. She has had tremendous success treating metabolic disorders such as thyroid disease, diabetes, insulin resistance, pre- and post-menopause, and hard to get results cases.

When not working with clients, Kristin enjoys mountain biking, hiking, skiing, soccer, snowshoeing, painting, drawing and writing screenplays. Kristin is a competitive athlete competing in numerous road races, marathons, triathalons, and adventure races. She played in the W-league, a semi pro soccer organization for four years as well as being a college soccer coach. Kristin has played soccer on the national level and has used her knowledge of proper nutrition to provide an edge in training and competition over the years. Kristin also played college lacrosse. Kristin has been certified as a personal trainer, group exercise and spin instructor.
